David D. Smith, president and chief executive officer of Sinclair Broadcast Group, was arrested this week in his hometown of Baltimore and charged with a misdemeanor sex offense. Sinclair owns WPGH, the Fox affiliate in Pittsburgh, and programs most of WPTT.

The Baltimore Sun reported that Smith, 45, was arrested Tuesday night in an undercover sting at a downtown corner frequented by prostitutes.

our local station WLOS Asheville NC is owned by Sinclair and will not be showing Nightline tonight. BUT, they have been swamped with calls and are giving out their email address on the air with the promise to forward letters to Sinclair.

Tonight the TOP STORY they carried on the news hour was about a local family of one of the "fallen" who were very upset and saddened that Nightline was not being shown. They gave it quite a bit of time.
They also interviewed people on the street.
I was very impressed and am sending them a thank you note.

8. WLOS just spoke

with another family member to a "fallen" soldier who was in tears and said they wanted to see their loved one honored on Nightline.

They also announced that they have recieved over 4000 emails so far and that does not include phone calls!
