CNN is covering the photos
My lord, these MPs may actually do a service to the people and not even realize it.

This is horrible, we need to get out...

And of course Bush's comments are to a point funny, and yes DoD, this will cost American AND Iraqi lives

5. I don't think anyone's ever doubted
that there were widespread atrocities committed in Vietnam. The My Lai Massacre is chief among them.

More here: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/amex/vietnam/trenches/mylai.html

Of course, Hughes probably doesn't want to think about such disturbing things. And doesn't want anyone else to see any parallels beween Iraq and the Vietnam quagmire.

6. Remember Colin Powell was tapped to sanitize the
massacre in Mai Lai and make it palatable for the folks back home. I am beginning to think that our military needs a big investigation by amnesty international starting with the top command, present and past.

4. Patton said preparatory to the Battle of the Bulge: I trained these troops
- they'll do what I tell them to do. Are these troops renegades or...?

7. They were also "covering" the images of the MPs
A quick snippet I saw after Anderson Cooper tonight on CNN was one of the shots of the Abu Ghraib MPs, whose face had been pixelated in the same manner as the Iraqi goolies (sexual organs) in the photos. Only time I have seen MPs identities edited out of the photos so far.
