Stumbling on to a random liberal DJ in new jersey radio....
So yesterday I was listening to Randi Rhodes on the way home. I live in NJ so I get WLIB Air America. I went to reach for something and hit one of the other pre-set buttons (I don't listen to any other AM station), and landed on 1600 AM and there was some woman who was ranting against the administration. If possible, in even stronger and more direct terms than Randi. I lost the signal before I could get any call letters or names but it was quite a surprise to actually randomly stumble upon something like that.

3. It was Sam Greenfield on the air. His show is M-F, 3-6 p.m.

He was the host of a similar show on WEVD before Disney changed the format to a losing sports station, ranking third among a market of 3.

Sam has a versatile dialogue with callers of all opinions and frequently invites interesting authors and political analysts to come on his show. BTW Tim Robbins is scheduled for this Friday.

You can stream his show on their website: http://www.wwrl1600.com

5. No, it WAS Sam Greenfield. His voice is not exactly in a bass range.

But, tune in today and you decide. I listen to his show every day. Plus, the only women on the show yesterday were callers and the gal who does the weather on the half-hour.

8. It could very well be. It was that station.....
Perhaps I was too rash in determining it was a woman, but his voice was very high pitched.

7. Isn't WWRL Black Talk Radio? BTW...Great To Listen To...
In Chicago we have little WVON...with Cliff Kelly and several other very good hosts. It's straight talk for the black community and always interesting to listen to. The * bashing is non-stop, but don't look for Kerry cheerleaders there.

If you'd like:

http://www.wvon.com/home.htm

is their home page. They're only on during the morning and evenings (share time with another station)

Another station like that is WOL in Washington and I'm certain others here can add to this list.

Warning: Gay issues will not be to LBGT likings

If we're looking to win big this year, these are people right now we're ignoring. Give a listen, hopefully it's not too late.
