4. The two guests have said everything that has been said before and |
|
ignored by this administration. The US just refuses to believe that the problems for the US in the Arab world stem from the way they and their culture and religion are disrespected by the US AND for the US blind and distorted support of Israeli behavior toward the Palestinians. How many times and in how many ways does the Arab and Muslim world have to keep saying this? It was Osama's mantra: get out of Muslim holy land and stop supporting the Israeli atroscities against the Palestinians. We have heard this same message from the very highest levels of Arab and Muslim society to the man in the street. And still, we refuse to hear them. Thus, we must all pay the consequences for the hubris and arrogance of those at the top.

It was a comment they used in the promos. Stated by an Arab big-wig guy (didn't catch his name). He said "The Arab world does not hate America. But I can assure you, the entire Arab world despises George W. Bush."
Which, when you think about the Wal Mart Nation's take on this (as if they'd be watching Nightline), will they think that's really a bad thing? So the eff what if the A-rab sand monkey camel jockies hate us...we hate them, too! I wish they had someone saying the whole world hate Bush, but he didn't. I think it was a great quote for the left, and the right will probably like it just as much.

3. I can also assure you that the Wahhabis do hate us... |
|
Strict Wahhabis believe that all those who don't practice their form of Islam are heathens and enemies.

7. So they're like the Baptists of Islam? |
|
Hating everything that isn't them, blaming it on their god?
WHo cares, they wouldn't think twice about us if we weren't raping their kids and slaughtering their families. THings like that tend to cause hatred.
America needs a good invasion so maybe we'll start to get it. Imagine 9-11, over and over, every day, until it becomes normal for you to wake up wondering which of your loved ones will die, and what thing you've loved will be destroyed, wondering what percentage of the day you will spend grovelling to the invaders with guns, losing your dignity. Maybe you have to be southern to get it.
If they hate us, it's because we are there, not because we exist.

9. Exactly...our fundie RW ideologues enable their fundie ZRW ideologues |

One couldn't exist without the other. They mutually enable themselves. Meanwhile, the rich make a killing and the peaceful majority in the middle get killed.

13. The lunatic zealots on both sides are in charge. |
|
And eventually they will destroy each other The biggest problem with that is that many innocent people, animal species and environments will be pillaged and/or destroyed in the process. How were the idiot/extremists of Islam and the idiot/extremists of the Roman/Judeo religions able to gain so much control?

12. More like the fundies of Islam. |
|
By including all Baptists in this category you're painting with too broad a brush. The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a Baptist preacher too you know.

10. Koppel assured us at least a couple of times... |

that the recent atrocities weren't nearly as bad as those committed under Saddam Hussein. He neglected to mention, of course, that many of Hussein's crimes were committed with American complicity. :puke:
