Martin Frost rules
I wrote him about the Voter Confidence Act a few days ago, today I got this back

"Thank you for contacting me regarding the need for transparency in voting. I always appreciate hearing from my constituents and I am happy to respond.

We all saw how the Florida ballot debacle played out during the 2000 Presidential election - I want to ensure that such problems will never occur in Texas - and I will continue working to ensure that every citizen's right to vote is protected. That is why I have cosponsored H.R. 2239, the "Voter Confidence and Increased Accessibility Act of 2003." This important legislation will require any voting system to produce a voter-verified paper record suitable for a manual audit equivalent. The bill also grants an extension of time for States to request payments for replacing punch card and lever voting machines, and provides voter-verification measures for voters with disabilities.

H.R. 2239 is currently pending consideration by the House Committee on House Administration. Although I do not sit on this Committee, you can rest assured I will be working to pass this bill.

Thank you again for your correspondence. Best wishes. "

This is the second time I will have the pleasure of voting for him, it's great having a strong intelligent Representative from the lone star state. Have you contacted your Congressperson yet, and if yes were they as cool as mine?

2. I think he has a fair chance to win
He's got a great campaign organization and Dems from all over the city are rallying to get him elected.
