4. I guess its good to listen to MP3s when torturing POWs
but my favorite part of the website is the line "So go for it …
and rock your summer" - I guess being in the Guard and getting shipped off to Iraq for over a year is now hip and something for the MTV kids to aspire to....aint like they're gonna find jobs in the US.....

5. Wow, the Guard is sooo hip!
The last bit of the confirmation box text is worth a read. It's like some 50-year-old suit trying to sound hip.

Yes! I want the free T-shirt and free DVD and to receive an entry into the THE ARMY NATIONAL GUARD iPOD™ GIVEAWAY SWEEPSTAKES. I understand that Army National Guard will send me information on what the Guard's all about, and that's cool with me!

or fatigue green, maybe?

Coulda used one of those while working nights at Awful Offutt Air Base in the 70's.

7. From the official rules -
(1) A LEGAL RESIDENT OF THE 50 UNITED STATES (EXCLUDING RI) AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA; (2) ARE 18 YEARS OLD OR OLDER AT TIME OF ENTRY and have Internet access prior to the start of the Contest; (3) ARE NOT AN EMPLOYEE (and their immediate families and household members) of Sponsor or Advertising.com, or their respective parent companies, subsidiaries or affiliates, or an AGENT, AFFILIATE, OFFICER OR DIRECTOR OF SPONSOR OR OF ANY ADVERTISER, PROMOTION AGENCY, FULFILLMENT AGENCY OR AGENT OF SPONSOR; AND (4) ARE HUMAN ....

Well damn, is good to know that the fucking national gaurd of the good old US of A isn't gonna be handing out free toys to mutants or squirrels!

Another oddity - the popup window for the rules has the window banner of "Apartmentguide"

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, Over?!
