I really would not be surprised if that occurs. To begin with, this administration has shown no respect for the law, for honesty, and for not being hypocrites. They do whatever they want to do and they either a) hope for not being exposed, b) lie when exposed, or c) rely on a compliant press and a comatose population. It has worked so far, but can it last forever? No!
That lawless atmosphere and attitude is at least complicit in the loose compliance with the law by our interrogators. And again, the arrogance of the Bush crew leads me to believe that there is a reasonable chance that the abuse is an unwritten policy of this administration. Also note the effort to lay all of the blame on General Karpinski. Don't misunderstand me, she is at best responsible for being incompetent. But still, the frenzied effort to lay it all at her feet is a classic sign of a coverup.
