1. And by the same token, we shouldn't replace the Pretzledent, too, right?
Yeah, that's the ticket..."There's a WAR on! We need to leave Rummy in charge...What? He's gone if Dubya loses? We need to Stay the Course! Vote for Bush!"...

NOBODY is indispensible.

THEY WILL BOOTSTRAP THAT ARGUMENT TO KEEP BUSH IN
Those losers can't win on Bush's "record." The Repubs are now saying, "keep Bush in so the enemy won't think we are weak," or "vote Bush if you care about America winning," They are crashing and burning and those Repubs on MTP know it.

2. My first thought, when he said that...
was if those spineless Repukes had done their job for their country months ago, we wouldn't be dealing with this so close to an election.

3. I'm torn . . .
if this misadministration gets rid of Rummy, they will be in effect saying that it was ALL his fault and they regain some face in this whole horrifying series of incidents. And Wolfowitz will be his likely replacement.

No, better to keep him on so we can watch as the whole cabal struggles to react to the landslide of evidence that they cleared brush while the free world burned.

The press is starting to come out and do their jobs. Soon the evidence will be so overwhelming that even the sheeple will have to wake up and see what they have allowed to transpire while they watched the "Friends" finale.

5. Who would be Sec. of Defence if Rummy died?
I heard that same comment by Warner, and I suppose he's right, but since everyone seems to believe there are fallback plans to replace all key positions in Gov't, who would replace Rummy if he died? He is after all in his 70's. I'm not wishing this to happen, but if his position is a key one, who would take his place?

9. Why do we need one? Obviously the Sec of Defense has NOTHING
to do with defending the US. He's just a puppet for the warmongers. Let's do without for a change.

7. What an idiot!.....
On Meet the Press, Warner said that we shouldn't be concerned with applying the Geneva Conventions to Al Quida. I guess he is assuming that any Iraqis that we detain are Al Quida terrorists. That may be a convenient method for the repukes to frame the argument for defending torture and abuse, but it is surely deceptive.

The *pResident has consistently demonized the Iraqi people and tried to link them to the events of 9/11, even though there is no evidence that its true.

The person who created the atmosphere that allowed these atrocities to to take place is the Commander in Chimp. He is ultimately responsible.

10. I've thought about it, too.
Which would be more damaging to them: to hang onto Rummy, and hope that the furor will die down so they can get back to their dirty dealing? He is for sure tainted, but these guys are cost maximizers, so they figure it's still worth the cost to them of keeping this henchman.

On the other hand, what if they dump him? I have serious doubts about promoting Wolfowitz. That man is just as tainted as his boss. I predict that if Rummy goes, Wolfy goes too. This way, Bush can be seen as "clearing the deadwood" and making a clean break with "one bad apple", and he can start to restore the trust again. (as if Rummy did this on his own).

My opinion: throw him overboard. They need to unload this worthless piece of shit. Not because it will help them, but because we need him out.

11. I found Warner very obnoxious.
He was not interested in getting to the truth and making corrections he was only interested in saving his parties King and Chief. At least L.Graham said a lot of the right things even if he may not mean it.
