DU can Elect Kerry but won't do so!
See "DU Task: Yahoo Outreach Effort for 04" in the activism forum and pitch in! At least, tell me something! I want to DO more and TALK less! Ideas? This is mine. Let's do it!

1. I wrote to the media this weekend
condemning the torture done in our names and BushCo's misleadership. Who else has written?

I write weekly but my local GOP editor has me on his block sender list. Well, almost, prints them once in a while.

6. Use this resource
if one paper won't publish your letters, there are hundreds of others that may: http://www.democrats.org/speakout/index.html

I'm afraid that most dems don't believe activism helps. As a group, we would rather complain about the world's ills than take action or even suggest action to remedy them.It has always been this way,and I honestly don't know if we can ever change. We lack the leadership in our own ranks. If America continues as it has for the past three years, we soon won't be allowed to use our voices, or march, or express ourselves in any way that isn't condoned by the media/ government. Maybe then we'll come to appreciate the voice we once had, but didn't use.

4. I am on a list that is writing newsmedia. I have CBS. Tonight I
had the pleasure of attending a Kerry rally at a hanger at Staniford Field, Louisville. He looks so presidential and he actually has ideas. Shades of Bill Clinton.

5. Volunteer for a local campaign
If there are any close races in your area and in which you have a candidate who you feel passionately about, contact the campaign and ask to volunteer. I'm sure that they have stuff for you to do.
