Will Kerry be facing McCain - Giuliani in '04
I think team Bush is politically dead in a way that we have never even seen before.

Pretty soon these cadavors wil begin stinking up their party bad.

I predict that Shrub is done in June - 42 months, just like the prophecy says.

1. The pukes are run by the extreme right and right wing lunatics.
They aren't smart enough to do that.

Dunno about that...
Whoever pulls Bush's strings may be smart enough to see the problem and solution. If it really matters to them.

15. Isn't it in the Apocalypse?
Somthing about the son of the anti-christ ruling 42 months?
(This is the the MaBus flavor of the theory)

16. Found it
And the beast was given a mouth uttering haughty and blasphemous words, and it was allowed to exercise authority for forty-two months; it opened its mouth to utter blasphemies against God, blaspheming His Name and His dwelling, that is, those who dwell in heaven. Also it was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them. And authority was given it over every tribe and people and tongue and nation, and all who dwell on earth will worship it, every one whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb that was slain." (Revelation 13:4-8 RSV)

18. I think that was about Nero. Nobody's any good at predicting the future.

Just my opinion, but Revelation reads pretty well as a supposedly prophetic screed about the a-holes who had already come and gone. If the author was from about 80 to 100 a.c.e. he'd have a damned good insight into the 42 months edit: of prosecution of Christians of Nero's reign.

19. No, I don't think it's about Bush either
Like you said, it could probably apply to any number of douchebags.

I was curious to know what the original poster was referring to, so I looked for the citation.

3. I would agree that team Bush is dying but...
...to change horses would be like admitting a mistake for the Republicans. The primary process is almost over and Bush has had no opponent. I don't think that will happen.

4. They may find a less direct approach...
Something like "Cheney's failing health" and some other excuse for Bush...

5. I agree. They won't ever admit they made a mistake. But.....
what underhanded, dirty, and illegal tricks will they try to eliminate the opposition? It scares me!

I'm pretty good at thinking about different plans of attack, but my brain just doesen't run in the track where Rove and the boys hang out.

I believe I know they are not going down peacefully!

7. What Prophecy??
What prophecy are you talking about? I am very very curious.

I do not see Bush giving up. The man is incapable of believing that he is wrong and would never give up voluntarily.

6. Not conservative enough.
Giuliani is pro-choice.
The base will stay home.

8. I've been waiting for
the Repugs to figure out that Bush is bad news for the Party. If he continues to tank and it looks like the makings of a Kerry landslide, I would not be surprised to see some effort to push Bush out. This will take a HUGE push from the Party to force him out.

The rumblings are starting. Yesterday was the first time ever I heard Bill Schnieder say Bush was in trouble. It will be interesting political theater, to say the least.

9. The only way that could happen

is if * eats more pretzels... and Cheney decides (rightly) that he
can't continue the "legacy" (health and "personal" reasons, etc).

Then the Repub convention is thrown open... McCain? possible.

Could the pretzels be induced? Yes, I wouldn't put it past the
folks behind all of these guys... I mean, 9/11, Wellstone, dozens
of the worlds top microbiologists, what's one idiot more?

10. It's...
Too late right now for Bush to pull out of the race, and I don't think the people would vote for a Guliani-McCain ticket at this point regardless, because they would see the instability within the GOP. The Republicans are in a hole right now and I doubt anything will get them out.

12. Religious Right would veto that pair
the Religious Right really has tremendous control and veto power over the Republican Party. They would NEVER go for pro-choice Giuliani on the ticket, nor for independent-minded McCain.

These guys are gonna stick with the losing team of Bush/Cheney because they will never believe they are losing, even when Kerry wins in a landslide. They are so arrogant and clueless, which is a good thing for us.

It's a nice dream, though. Right up there with seeing Dumbya behind bars.
