Jumping up and down, shouting in glee, high-fiveing, clapping hands... |
|
That's the war supporters and the right-wingers when they heard they had found WMDs. Sean Hannity was beside himself. "See, we told you there were WMDs!" The pent-up glee must be difficult to hold back?
If they get this fired up on just a rumor of WMDs, think of what might happen if they actually find them?? They will probably pee all over themselves...

1. What will they do when they find out it's WD-40? |
|
They will know that tomorrow. I have heard more bogus WMD stories in the last year than I can think of.

Remember, another meaning of the word: A sudden short exclamation, especially a brief pious utterance or prayer.
The initial tests of that shell were inconclusive. Betcha $5 it turns out NOT to be sarin. And there they went, getting all excited again over nothing....

5. they're never right with those field tests |
|
usually it just comes up an abnormal amount of some chemical, automatically they assume it's sarin. Real tests will prove whether it's just a trace amount or some fertilizer

Any such "find" is too late for Bush. His Iraq problems go way beyond that.

6. Interesting commen. It doesn't matter.... |
|
if they find them or not. He's already screwed up Iraq to the point that WMDs are now totally irrelevant?

8. I think it is too late for a WMD find |
|
to be credible
Plus other bushgang failures have overshadowed this. It's partly their own fault for downplaying WMDs so thoroughly when it became clear there were none.
Dollars to donuts it's a flase-positive field test. Even if it weren't, compare one ancient artillery shell with so little sarin that troops didn't even done chem suits to the laundry lists L'il George and Colon read off prior to the war.
A vast stockpile of artillery shells still wouldn't amount to a threat to the US.

- One ancient shell, even if it is a binary sarin shell, is no reason to launch a war. But the chickenhawks aren't the ones fighting and dying to save us from one artillery shell. They will squawk the war was justified to save us from this rusty shell, but are unwilling to go fight. - It makes no difference. Rational people will see right through this sham, and will not vote for Bush. The celebrations over this "find" will simply make the chickenhawks look even more foolish.
Edited to spell squawk correctly, I think!

unless they stumble into a large stockpile this story is going to go the way of the balsa wood drones and the empty trailers. It seems the military is even toning it down.

I would imagine that you could probably find traces of sarin in the soil near the area in Tokyo from the sarin attack there years ago. Their desperation is showing.
