Wedding Massacre ===> Upcoming Distraction from Fox/Rove? |
|
The wedding massacre is terrible news, which has almost always been followed with a feel-good/they-deserve-it story from Fox/Rove. So, will it be:
1. A gruesome videotaped atrocity followed by commentary from right wing pundits suggesting that the Iraqis got what they deserved? 2. A "WMD FOUND STORY!" on Fox with the "Report of accidental shooting at wedding" relegated to the back page? 3. Hyping up the celebrity terrorist/member of Saddam Regime of the moment (Al Sadr, Al Zawari, etc.), then announce that he has been captured/killed! 4. A bombing followed by the standard "They hate our freedom" speech by Bush and company. 5. Announce discovery of secret documents and photos of deal between Saddam Hussein, Bin Ladin and Hitler's great-grand nephew to terrorize the world. Soldier on the ground will say, "We occupied Saddam's palace for over a year, but we never thought to look under the sofa, but there was the documents!"
Which one do you think it will be?

1. I've already heard on CNN that is wasn't a wedding party |
|
but was a gathering of insurgents and they got what they deserved.
Yep, the "wedding party" side of the attack is alreay going down the memory hole.

A) Powell resigns and airs all his dirty laundry about Bush. B) Rumsfeld is fired. C) Cheney has another heart attack and is reduced to a drooling sack of skin. D) Bush is caught in a compromising situation with Rice and is later found in a cocaine induced coma. E) Republicans nationwide drink the kool-aid.
But then I'm ever the optimist.

He hasn't been seen lately.
For all we know, he's already dead and buried.

6. Seems to be a new option:The "ain't no |
|
big deal when you think of the greater good PLUS it WAS an accident, Sheesh!" attitude. That's the incredibly untactful, unfeeling, almost casual way Shep Smith talked about this tragedy whilst he was yapping with Pentagon reporter Bret (Beir?)
No biggie is what they projected fear not (plenty) Gibson/Hume/O'Reilly will show the way:(

old footage showing Baathist abuses. That way, they can justify the war, make US war crimes seem less appalling, and distract from the current bad news.
