Has anyone noticed.... ?
That everything we have known and posted on this site for the last 3 years or more which was denied, ignored, debunked by "experts", critisized as "wacko leftist conspiracies", et cetera is coming to be accepted as truth?

Exhibits...
1. The lies surrounding the Flordia election count.
2. The bizzare circumstances on 911 with * and others.
3. The lies about WMD in Iraq.
4. The shady circumstances around Amb. Wilson's wife.
5. The shady deals of Haliburton.
6. The erosion of civil rights under PA1 and 2.
7. The futility of fighting a guerilla war with conventional forces.
8. The brutality of US troops and others in Afghanistan and Iraq.
9. The complicity of the US government in the Aristide coup.

And lots more.
It seems to me more and more news outlets are unwilling to drink *'s cool aid and go with the program.

What do you think?

14. Oh yeah, forgot about that one.... and a couple of more
like

Why dosen't someone in the mainstream media pick up on the Afghan masscre of 2002? 3,000 dead. Good Christ. Talk about reaping what you sow.

and

How come no one is really looking into what the hell is going on with gas prices? I smell end game for the oil companies, attempting to wrestle every last dollar out of the end of oil supplies. Anyone else?

2. yeah, we're way ahead of the curve
that's why I come here so often.

Everybody else is way behind us.

It kinda sucks, really.

It's like when I was in grade school and I was smarter than everybody else. It was fucking annoying when nobody could GET simple things, yet I'd be the one who got picked on for being a "brain". Even though I kept pretty quiet about it.

The world has turned into a big grade school, with the bullies in charge.

8. great post, maggrwaggr.
The world really does seem like that. Sometimes I feel if I don't want to get picked on, I'd better keep my mouth shut about what I know.

5. Yes, I have noticed.
I noticed especially when I went to meetings with so-called Democrats that they thought I was a little out there because I brought up DU talking points. They would say, "You really don't believe that do you?" and I would say that the evidence was pretty compelling. Now they are saying it too.

9. exactly my experience
it's hard to work with the local Dems because even with them, I feel as if I'm in a parallel universe. Many of them have no clue about sites like DU, Buzz, Bart and their host of links. THEY get their info from TV and the local rag. They still respect Colin Powell :puke:

10. I get the same thing too.
People always roll their eyes and look at me and say "duh, you believe that crap?" Everything I told co-workers last year about the reasons for the war and everything I told them about the PNAC doctrine and everything I ever told them about *shrub have all come true. They don't even want to talk to me about it anymore.

6. The lies surrounding the Flordia election count is going to happen again
Edited on Mon May-24-04 08:40 PM by ck4829
According to PFAW, Jeb and friends are trying again to scrub the names of people who happen to share their last names with felons.

7. Yes. And it's depressing as hell being right
about such evil shit as this.

But it's true, it's true: they really are that wicked, and the world really is this fucked up.

12. the media still hasn't educated people about PNAC!
most americans still have no fucking idea what PNAC is, or that almost everybody in the administration is from PNAC.

Sad!

13. DLC magazine editor basically says Michael Moore is a lying left wing
wacko because he is creating a culture of conspiracy theories. Is this guy working for Karl Rove? MM's new film is going to destroy Bu$h.

DLC | Blueprint Magazine | March 23, 2004
Michael Moore's Truth Problem
Book Review

Likewise, large swaths of the American and European intelligentsia seem to believe Moore's claims, in Dude for example, that the Dark Side is taking over with a form of insidious domestic terrorism and a culture of fear. Moore's answer is to create a culture of conspiracy theories in which the real terrorists are not outside forces like al Qaeda but the boardroom denizens who rule America. The war on terror should, in Moore's view, not focus on the external enemy but, rather, "be a war on our own darkest impulses."

16. that is what I mean...sometimes it is hours... usually days, and
for the more bizzare things, months.

But more and more the news is just like going through our archives.

The other day a semi-freep type at work apologized to me about busting my balls about PNAC. Seems he has finally bothered to look it up and is appalled at what he found.

This same guy was slamming me a year ago, saying I was a looney.

What a world.

17. I've seen hordes of the best researchers and fact finders ....
this site has ever had just give up and leave in the past two years because of the abuse and crap that got slung at them by alot of posters that doubted their findings. In the end, many of them were proven right about a great many things, but their valuable input is gone and that's ashame.

I know some of the stuff has been pretty outlandish, but these are pretty outlandish times, you can't dispute that.

Next time people start making fun of tinfoil hats, just remember that some people here are just thinking out loud, brainstorming and sharing information. The last time I checked, free speech and the exchange of ideas was an integral part of democracy.
