GORE TO CALL FOR RESIGNATION OF BUSH CABINET MEMBERS
Major Address Will Cite Imminent Risk to U.S. Soldiers & Homeland from Bush Failure to Hold Top Officials Accountable

Former Vice President Al Gore will deliver a major foreign policy address in New York City on Wednesday, sponsored by MoveOn PAC, calling for the resignation of five members of the Bush Administration team and one member of the military command responsible for the failed policy and abuse of prisoners in Iraq.

Gore will identify the various ways in which all Americans--soldiers in Iraq, residents and travelers abroad, and citizens at home—are endangered by the bitterness created throughout the Islamic world—and beyond—by US policy.

4. Pointless. Bush isn't going anywhere...
...until January 20th.

Gore's demand is a realistic one.

But this won't happen either.

6. I'm sure
that it isn't supposed to happen. Gore is just making a point.

He also may be testing his muscles, to see if people will listen. More people voted for him than any other presidential candidate in our nation's history, but the media treats him like a joke. It will be interesting to see how this flies with the public-- if the media lets the public hear about it.

5. I think Gore is opposed to
the execution of the mentally disabled.

Plus, there is the case of making a case. It's pretty easy to make a strong case that Rumsfield, Powell, Rice, and the rest should go, based on verifiable evidence and their own testimonies. With Bush, though we all know he should go and that he was responsible for it all, so far testimony has shielded him and no direct evidence links him to anything except believing bad information.

It would be moot. If Bush's cabinet resigned, it would cripple Bush, and would be a good indication that he had failed, too.

Gore is just being a good attorney, though he isn't an attorney. Pursue the strongest cases, and use those to prove your weaker ones.

7. Love you, President Gore! What a dream ticket Gore/Dean would
have been in 2000 instead of the execrable Lieberman.
