Chairman Powell Is AWOL - don't let him get away with it

http://www.freepress.net/rules/

Last year, Federal Communications Commission Chairman Michael Powell called for public hearings after millions of Americans decried his gutting of media ownership rules. Now he's a no-show, with a sudden "scheduling conflict" just one day before his official FCC hearing to listen to public concerns!

This is an outrage. At the last hearing in San Antonio, Texas, a rowdy crowd of hundreds gave Powell a lashing that lasted nearly 7 hours. Powell was put to shame, and he’s afraid it will happen again. Let’s make sure it does.

In the past two months alone, Powell has attended the posh, industry-sponsored National Association of Broadcasters annual convention and the National Cable and Telecommunications Association gala. But where is he during his own “Localism and Diversity” public hearing?

Michael Powell is AWOL — due to a sudden “scheduling conflict” — and we’re not going to let him get away with it.

Demand a hearing in YOUR state!
