Seems like everything since Valerie Plame has been downhill for Your Boy George. I wonder if Bushco* pissing off the CIA has had anything to do with months of steady bad news....

Hmmm?

2. it was definately a bridge too far for Cheney
There are probably plenty of people in service to the nation who consider it honorable to be inserivce to the nation. I would guess the Plame outting pissed off lots of them. Whether as a team or individually, seems likely they are sinking Cheney's boat.

Crash cart just didn't realize there is true love of country. He didn't count on it biting him in the ass.

4. Well said
and these days Chenney is quite the player, but the
rules are a-changing, faster than he can say, changing.
This is by Chenney's standards, who has NEVER played by
the same rules everybody else has... and this will sink
their dream of an Imperial Presidency.

5. Your point goes to the heart of theBushco breakdown...
people all over are feeling betrayed by the sanctimonious co-opting, and abuse, of America.

8. Well put ...

As far as the media goes ... it was a push. But it probably pissed off a lot of honorable conservatives (there IS such a thing) who started leaking all the OTHER dirty laundry.

3. That and Tenet taking it in the neck later for
the 16 words making it into the SOTU speech. It's never
a good idea to piss off the spooks.

I think it helped turn around some of the more legit press.

I think it creeped them out that they were being used so blatantly and for such treasonous behavior by BushInc.

It also set up the good guys in the intel community to really turn their sights on the Bush thugs. They have contacts and allies in the press, too.

7. Oh, yah, Payback. Big Time.
And not just the CIA. The State Department and The Pentagon (career Generals, et al) too!
They've all been burned by the BFEE 'administration'. Look for all the dominoes falling right about, say mid-July.
