5. Would you give your captive a loaded gun?
Somebody was holding him probably for ransom unless we had him the whole time.

7. it`s not his
it is the people of iraq`s. it`s the same as a sword or a dagger from some king . we have no right to it- it is theft/looting. bush shows it off cause he thinks he got the gun himself. it`s a phallic symbol that bush loves..i`ve got saddam`s cock on the plaque..i`m the tough guy,i`m the cowboy...that`s the big deal...

8. It shows how Bush is personalizing the conflict as between
It shows how Bush is personalizing the conflict as between him and Saddam, though 30,000 Iraqis were killed during the first phase of the war.

10. This is nothing! Wait 'til bush puts Osama's head on a pike
Now there's a trophy. And the right-wingers will all hold hands and dance in a circle around it, chanting "4 more years, 4 more years."

If this is Saddam's gun that he used to execute people with, then it's a gruesome trophy indeed, and it's loaded (no pun intended) with karma, karma, karma. I'm glad bush has got it, even though it makes him look like a gloating immature adolescent. After all, everything that goes around, comes around.

12. Moran Made a Point of Mentioning
Edited on Mon May-31-04 07:23 PM by Crisco
The gun is kept in the presidents' study off of the Oval office, the room, he said, "made infamous by Bill Clinton."

Haahahahahaha... talk about compensation!

13. "Oh, sweet castration image" - interesting blog notes on DC gun laws:
Rude Pundit - And What About Those Other Little Firearm Laws?

Did he receive a background check for the transfer of ownership? Is Bush licensed to possess a firearm in a federal facility? The District of Columbia prohibits firearms to be gifts. How many people are implicated in Bush's firearm possession?

Keith Olbermann is covering this on MSNBC now. "Some days you couldn't do better making this stuff up."
