CNN's Carlos Watson...The Anti-Bill Schneider???
I just saw another of his wonderful reports. For those who haven't been following...he's been doing on air "focus groups" around the country. Unlike Frank Luntz (where is carpet-head these days???), who push-polls for the GOOP, Watson appears straight forward and even leans towards Kerry.

Tonight he was in a bowling alley in Missouri...all voted for Bunnypants in 2000. Two...middle-aged male & female...lifelong Repugnicans so full of kool-aid it squirts out of their ears...will eat their young for Bunnypants. The male says the Kerry should send mail to him so it doesn't go to someone else who might read it. The woman says she admired Pickles and how Bunnypants speaks so well despite the tough time he's had (as I say, massive kool-aid in effect).

The other three said they're going for Kerry. One, a 21-year old mother...voted for his assholiness in 2000 was very vocal, calling President Kerry and sounding like she was a regular here on DU. She went on about the lies in the Iraq invasion and how she can't trust the bastard. The other two...middle-aged men...factory workers...pissed at the regime about the outsourcing and the economy. Didn't get the tax cut, seeing jobs vanishing, savings and retirement money went poof and now high prices everywhere you look. This is the real ticking bomb on this regime...I love when they try to spin the economy...it hasn't worked yet and now is really backfiring.

Watson's done several of these reports and appears to be going into swing areas...and I've been impressed with how he's done them...and this comes from one whose sat in on way too many focus groups and auditorium tests. If you want to see how a good pollster works, check this guy out.

3. No, I don't
And yet, a man who didn't even win the popular vote in 2000 still seems to be close in 2004. That seems odd to me.

OK, that seems like a flat out lie to me. It aint possible for that man to have more than 32-35% of the vote right now, is what my gut tells me. But they report that he does. Curious, aint it?
