C-Span 6:06 a.m. CT First analysis of Herseth win in SD.
Edited on Wed Jun-02-04 06:31 AM by LittleApple81
Rapid City Journal (SD) political correspondent on the phone at C-Span
saying that Herseth in SD won with a very close race. Dietrich (sp?) did so well that she says that he will be able to recoup in November.
SD is a very Republican State.
Race was a very local issue.

3. Two repugs: the Afghan war is not discussed because of the
liberal media and because it is going so well.

4. Why is is that the majority of callers are repugs? Susan Swain
is the anchor. Callers talking about interviews she conducted with soldiers saying the soldiers were optimistic and great representatives of the armed forces. She clarified (and I am glad she did) that she did not know how they were selected when C-Span asked to interview soldiers.

8. A caller is so happy about the soldier saying that he was pro Bush.
He said that we should pay attention to the soldiers and not the press.
Hmmmmm... I have noticed wounded soldiers tend to suffer from cognitive dissonance. They cannot admit that their personal losses are due to lies.

7. Finally a politically aware democrat caller! He mentioned that
Tucker said that Kerry is plagiarizing Bush???? He said he watched Kerry's speeches and it is the opposite (Bush using Kerry's ideas).

He said that no Afghan news because things are going so bad there.
