BushCo asked the media (including NYT) to delay the story on Chalabi....
Chalabi told Iran that US had broken its secret communications code
snip...
After the raids, it was widely reported that Chalabi had passed on US secrets to Iran, which Chalabi and his aides have denied, but the US government asked the media, including The New York Times, not to publish details of the case.

2. It's getting better...
The news organizations are at least addressing the emperor's lack of clothing. Sure, the NYT hasn't fired Judith Miller, coverage of Kerry continues to be slim, and the Bush* administration still gets a lot of wiggle room, but the press has finally begun to listen to the voices such as those here at DU (being loud and consistent has it's virtues).

It must be time for a new injection of FEAR - we can't have this kind of dissent during a time of War!

5. Wasn't it nice of the Times to cooperate so willingly?
I mean, golly, who would have thought that that nice Mr. Chalabi would do such a thing? It was only once the Times got scooped by events AND got the administration's permission to publish, that it wrote the story.

Where the hell is this liberal media I hear so much about?
