"Just let it go"???. OMFG, are these people for real?!

Re. the Cheney-Halliburton email revelation in Time magazine, a Democratic senator Tuesday called for a congressional investigation into whether Vice President Dick Cheney had a role in awarding a no-bid contract in Iraq to his old company, the oil-services giant Halliburton.

*****************************

"This is a politicizing of Halliburton, which is a shame," said Mary Matalin, a former Cheney aide now working as a senior Bush-Cheney campaign adviser.

"Halliburton itself has lost close to three dozen workers over there in Iraq," Matalin told NBC's Today show. "I mean, just let it go."

http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/06/01/cheney.halliburton/index.html

*****************************

"Politicization of Halliburton"?? WTF does that mean? The moment elected Democrats start asking questions, it called politicizing?

So, now they are saying that we are supposed to feel bad for this conglomerate that was built to profit from war and strife, because they lost their own people in a war zone? Are these people on crack?

How about asking if they 'just let it go' when two consenting adults had sex and were embarrassed to admit to it? I would think that it's less revolting than awarding a tax-payer funded $7 billion no-bid contract to the company whose former CEO just happens to be the current VP of the United States.

I'm waiting for Inhoffe to come out and declare: "I'm simply outraged by the lack of outrage".

 :puke:

4. Mary's job is to intimidate you.
Tell her the image of Halliburton as a poor, grief-stricken widow-woman won't fly.

They are thieves and criminal conspirators and the people who died were led into danger by an enterprise that cared nothing for their lives.

And if she isn't outraged by that, what the hell is wrong with her?

7. The outrage is that half the people in this country see nothing wrong
with all of this and think Cheney and his buds are entitled to the spoils of war 'cause they are Christians and God is blessing them and it's about time someone told the media and the people of this country to shut the fuck up and just go do what these great leaders deem is necessary. And then the same zeros get all teary eyed about bringing Democracy to Iraq---they wouldn't know democracy if they fell over it and soon there won't be enough of it around here to fall over.

- Wouldn't that make it the business of the people's representatives? It's amazing how these fascists think they're accountable to no one.

14. I saw the interview yesterday morning....Matalin was unbelievable
Of course I'm sure the CONs were rooting for her--she deflected all of Matt Lauer's questions with lies and dismissiveness.

The one question that got me was about Bush's negative campaign ads. Studies have shown that Bush's add's are more than twice as negative as Kerry's. Matalin said that there are countless numbers of "527 groups" making negative campaign ads about Bush and that
"Bush could never keep up" with the negativity from the left. Poor Bush--uses the presidential fleet to campaign more than any president and raises more money than any president ever and he can't keep up. Don't you feel sorry for him? :eyes:

that she gets all her news from the ever-reliable Mr.Oxycontin, who in turn gets all his reliable news from the Druge Report! Un...believable.
