Hmmm...what else can they use to take the war crimes out of the news?

1. exactly
this laci peterson stuff has been on the air for too long...and real crimes against thousands by our government are not shown...
we see sniper trials and every little bit and piece of it or OJ simpson

but when we have real crimes, war crimes, it is a splash in the pan...

it is tough when the news media reports so little on the truth....

2. Actually it cuts both ways
Scott Peterson trial took Ashcroft's plant about Padilla off the front pages.

Of course, it took the prison abuse scandal off too but it seems to be equal opportunity incompetence in the media.

3. In relation to Padilla, I think that if they have proof of the allega-
tions against him, then try him. Let him have a lawyer, a court date and a trial. If the government cannot present a good enough case, then free him. This is before the Supreme Court, and I can guess how the votes will go. Good-bye democracy. This could be any of us next.

Your right...they are setting precedent...I hear Gitmo is nice this time of year. Think of it as a tropical vacation.
