1. It is funny because for the Catholics you do pilgrimages when you
are praying for something (that is difficult to obtain) or you are asking for forgiveness of your sins.
I wonder which one of the two she is doing.

5. No, no. If negative stories about her are off-limits,
positive stories should be verboten as well.

PLEASE, LET'S PROTECT THE POOR GIRL'S PRIVACY!!! :eyes:

6. so is this some kinda pre-emption to wash away the sins of the campaign?
all the pilgramages in the world won't erase the evil she's about to participate in.

9. She's cooler than I may have expected
I've always wanted to do that trek . . . through the northern spanish mountains. You can spend the night in old monestaries, etc . . .

Very cool hike from mountains to atlantic ocean.

These days most people (at least most young travellers that I've come across) think of it more as a cool, historic week or 2 long trek than any kind of relgious pilgrimage . . .

12. Aren't pilgrimages a complete waste of time?
Why not volunteer somewhere and do some real good!

What a waste of energy and time, it accomplishes nothing.

13. and it is Santiago who fought the Muslims and won!
Edited on Wed Jun-02-04 04:12 PM by Marianne
I have the feeling that this young woman who seems to be as stupid as her parents is being built up to play some role in future politics.

I just have that intution. She is being manufactured already

I saw this Dali painting in the Beaverbrook Museum in Fredricton, New Brunswick, Canada. It is awesome and it is huge. It is entitled Santiago el Grande and is a Salvador Dali painting. It is really really huge. and it is intriguing. You need to know the mythology begind the Santiago, St. James. Google. You need to stand back at least fifty feet to appreciate the entire thing if you go to this museum.

Santiago , St. James, was the saint who slaughtered and killed the Moors in Spain. When Spanish troops went to Iraq to support our idiot president in his slaughter, they wore a badge that bragged about this saint who killed so many Muslims. Not a good idea, imo.

It is interesting that Jenna is there since Spain was so adamant in their protests against the war of her stupid father and has pulled out all of their troops from her father's slaugherhouse in Iraq when they elected a new president.
