10. toy, toy and enjoy it honey
He has hired the outside lawyer in case he is called to testify in this which means he knows it's closing in. And I want here and now to parrot some shit I hear from the repukes. Remember how they say you don't have to be afraid of the Patriot Act if you have nothing to hide?? Well, Bush needs not have a lawyer if he is as innocent as the new fallen snow. BUT the fuckint WASP-Mafia sure as hell needs one!!!---fry you ugly bastard. I guess there is still no hope that the ultra right Christians will see "anything wrong with Boy George"--"Morans".

11. hahahaha...bush* wants to avoid a JOHN DEAN standing up against him

as nixon's crimes came to light....nixon asked John Dean, his White House counselor to help him...and John Dean refused to help nixon cover-up his criminal actions....

now, White House counselor, gonzales, wrote a now-revealed memo, telling bush* to get rid of Geneva Conventions to prevent WAR CRIMES being prosecuted again bush* and his minions....

perhaps gonzales doesn't want to go to jail now....perhaps bush* will be privately consulting with his own private attorney to prevent any revelations to be brought against him, as happened to nixon, when the American Patriot John Dean STOOD UP and helped start impeachment against nixon....which eventually led to nixon's resignation....

the whole cabal is falling apart...they will all rat on each other and jump off bush*s sinking ship to stay out of prison....just like nixon....

13. Amen--as I'm getting my second breath, I wondered why this didn't fall
under the lawyers who already are in residency in the White House--that way he can have protection AND not have to do this humiliation publicly which reeks of guilt. There probably is some provision that they can't defend PERSONALLY a president.....but then whey does the slime need PERSONAL defense?? If it's a matter of "his adminstration" rather than him, I would assume he could use WH counsel??!!?

19. Oh, Robert, you are so nasty-------my god how I love to see this
How I have waited 4 stinking years to see this. Bush--Grand Jury--and (gasp) could we have "lying" eventually added to the offenses (unfortunately probably not in time for Election '04). Come on Dems--suggest to the American people that if Bush gets 4 more years it all could be spent (like Clinton) in a fortune spent on investigations leading to impeachment..........please Dem party, do that for me and for the rest of us...please.....

15. Another solution
Why doesn't he have another private chat with god and have him handle it? Don't they have a personal relationship and all that? Sheesh, a friend in need, and here he goes, forced to hire an attorney.

"Mr. President, I have been hired to represent you. Please tell me what you know about the outing of Ms. Plame."

"Outing? neat, I'll bring the Segway. Once you get the knack of those things, you don't fall too often. Maybe I can go sometplace warm. Hey, back to Crawford, except that mayor is turning out to be a two bit back-stabbin' liberal scum, that bastard. Maybe I can have the CIA take him out. Or maybe, we can put him in prison in Cuba."

"Sir, no, I mean Mr. Wilson's wife - the CIA agent that your adminsitration outed to the general public."

"Out where? Here? Who is this Wilson guy, anyway? Heck, if'n I was you, I'd talk to Dickie poo. He's the one who knows everything. Him 'n Karl. like birds of a weather."

"Sir, you will be asked to tell what you knew and when you knew it."

"I know what I knew, when i knew it, not when I thought I knowed it, but when knowing was known, I knew not to know knowing what I know. You know? Like saying that prison's name Abu Grabbypoo. Hey, I got it right."

"Mr. President, this is serious. Someone will be going to prison for releasing secret information. It looks like one of two people on your staff. So, please tell me what Karl Rove told you about Valerie Plame."

"Tubby-Karl? He doesn't really talk to me. He kinda mumbles at me, then says he'll fix it. I can't recall him telling me about taking an outing, he's not much fun, not at all. Now Condi, she's good. She's fun, but I can't have her around Laura. Laura gets all jealous about Condi-cane's googoo eyes. So, ask Karl himself. But have him speak up, the mumbler even mumbles his prayers. How can he hear god talk if'n he doesn't listen like me?"

"thank you, sir. I think that's all I need."

A whole bunch of right wingers will think exactly the way you described it and think that this poor, unfortunate second son of God is just surrounded with awful people who have hurt him and that he is innocent. You can't shine shit.......in this case you can't put any polish on SHEEP shit!!!

24. Just saw a post on the Freepers - YES BABY
This has taken the right wingers by surprise...and Limbaugh and Rove and the rest of the goddamn Nazis will, guaranteed, have talking points out tomorrow to calm this down as just routine procedure and site the last zillion presidents on similar issues. Like I said above, if you ain't guility Bush you don't need representation. AND if you are an innocent babe who definitely will cooperate to get to the bottom of this terrible thing that just hurts you deeply, all you need is to say "send me and let me tell what I know or don't know"--ONLY A FUCKING GUILTY BASTARD LIKE YOU NEEDS A PRIVATE ATTORNEY---are you afraid of jail time after you are no longer PLAYING president.......you disgrace to this country...

25. its only a big deal if there are indictments.
There has to be indictments of people like "Scooter"..real high up right-hand-men types, for this to really blow open as a political scandal.

I sure hope there ARE indictments and the timing is sometime later in the summer, after the Michael Moore film hoopla dies down.....

That way we sort of have a rolling summer of negativity to keep hammering Bush....

f**k with the spooks, but he was too busy counting his

tragedy are here. Let's just hope that like all Greek
tragedies the hubris brings about the long-overdue fall.

28. Monica--what's that Greek saying that's about the "God in the Machine"
It's where in Greek plays they cranked down some actor from up above the stage who was a "god" who made everything turn out okay (like "deux machina"???). Anyway, I wonder if Bush has any Gods to crank down and save his ass----unfortunately, I don't mean that in a teasing way because these fuckers always have a convenient "savior" to get everything and anything off their butts. Waiting...and watching.

30. except this time the deus ex machina
is just as guilty and corrupt as the rest of the slimy cast
of characters.

I really think the CIA is coming out full force due to
the Plame outing and nobody (even ex-CIA Poppy) can save
his sonny's hide. Several years ago Sr. had very harsh words
for people who would dare to out an agent. Just because he
is an ex-agent I don't think they'll give his son a pass on
this one.

I haven't gotten my hopes up on any of the previous scandals
which could easily have brought him down but this one is
growing legs.

Keep the faith

33. thanks Monica - deus ex machina----it's been a long time
since I was in college and was studying Greek plays. But that "God of/or in the Machine" has so often run through my mind in the last few years in this political arena. They always had one on hand (and I think a few people met their deaths at the hands of it). Hopefully this one is wearing the face of angry CIA agents...........

36. you know, he wouldn't make this move right now in the heat of
the political battle since it sounds like he is so "guilty" unless he knows that things are going to move fast and come down BEFORE the elections. I wonder if their are forces involved with this Grand Jury that he can't bribe, threaten, halt for months. Something isn't right here because they would put off such a move until after the elections since they don't need any more stink descending and making them look like dirty liars.
