3. Steve_Seattle is desperate that "by July everything is wonderful in Iraq" |
|
lol!
To: veronica What's the big deal?
Surely by now you know that the press - ever nostalgic about the glory days of Watergate when they brought down Richard Nixon - will latch on to this with a vengeance, e.g., "What did he know and when did he know it?" If by July everything is wonderful in Iraq, the press will manufacture a scandal somehow, someway. 61 posted on 06/02/2004 4:18:20 PM PDT by Steve_Seattle

that every single political event that was good in the last 50 years was due to Republicans, and every single political event that was bad was due to Democrats. That's almost a direct quote. It's scary isn't it?

Many of the Freepers are in a panic. The early posts were really funny. The later posts have the silly Freepers going into denial mode and repeating their mantra "tempest in a teapot." This really cheered me up.
I really hope to watch Rove being frogmarched out of the white house and put in a perp walk The only thing that may stop this is a pardon by Bush.

14. Interesting comments. It's funny how the rule of law does not apply here |
|
I remember the right wing talking about the RULE OF LAW when Clinton was in office. I heard it every day for a couple of years. Now that Bush is in office, who gives a frogs fat ass if Bush or his cronies broke the law in outing Wilson's wife. It's all BS as they say, and she probably deserved it anyway.
What planet are they living on exactly?
They all sound like Rush/Hannity robots spouting the talking points. Somone else talks about the torture and womens underwear on a guys head, like that's all that happened. Did we forget about all the other sick fucking shit we did or watched others do to these prisoners of whom approximately %90 percent are INNOCENT!!!!!??? Stuff so sick and disgusting that they will not release the images?
Jesus, I hate going over there, but it is nice to see they are concerned ..... as well they should be.

32. What makes Gee Dub's speech historic |
|
is that he's given it so many, many times in the past 3 1/2 years. That speech has a 3 1/2 year history. He ALMOST has it memorized by now, too, but he still has lots of trouble pronouncing the bigger words.

|
"We'll just keep pounding the online op-eds and man the phones like we always do when the media blow a non story like Abu Grahib completely out of proportion, except this time it will be to remind the media and the Left that Clinton had an attorney on retainer!"
A NON STORY LIKE ABU GRAHIB??? (And isn't that misspelled?) A NON STORY?
I get it. Our guys torturing Iraqi POWs and taking pictures of it and getting off to it is a non-story?
Ummm, ok. So why was the Clentis such a big deal if this isn't?
Talk about completely out of whack priorities. Talk about a HUGE case of cognitive dissonance!
And might I remind everyone what a huge hissy fit the wingnuts had when Clinton retained an attorney? So I guess it's our turn?

This is great:
To: A Citizen Reporter Good point. I also think there are a LOT of reasons for outside counsel, including advice on how much one can say to the press. I am not perturbed, and I suggest everyone calm down. This is going to be the dirtiest election in history. The Rats are going to pull out all the stops, and I will not be surprised to see the "Bush's girlfriend had an abortion, Bush had an afffair, Bush still drinks, Bush renounces Christianity" pulled before this election is over.
We must stay calm and strong in the midst of all of this. Otherwise, we are letting the President down. We must NOT be "sunshine soldiers."

They inhabit a totally different world than I do. They hate Clinton for lying about a tawdry personal sex affair, a question that should never have been asked in the 1st place, but give the lying bastards who've lied about the causus belli, lied about the cost, outed CIA agents (GHW Bush saying this is the most treasonous action anyone can do against this country). Smear a man who was amabassador of Iraq under GHW Bush....(the last man out of Iraq before the 92 war).
What a bunch of moral relativists....

30. I think he wasn't investigated for his part in the Head cold Scandal of 94 |
|
Edited on Wed Jun-02-04 08:30 PM by Moonbeam_Starlight
I think he wasn't investigated for that time he had a head cold. Remember that? The wingnuts were screaming about dereliction of duty because he couldn't give his 4,909th press conference of the year for 1994. Because of that head cold. But the wingnuts decided maybe he wasn't faking the head cold and dropped it.
So there was that.

To: COEXERJ145 As I posted earlier, this story or the hint of it, is just another operation in the all out media blitz against Bush. The story worries me, but the timing is weird, I wonder if they are trying to get attention away from something else, like found WMDs or something. We'll just keep pounding the online op-eds and man the phones like we always do when the media blow a non story like Abu Grahib completely out of proportion, except this time it will be to remind the media and the Left that Clinton had an attorney on retainer!
