16. a couple of quips for ya

When a caller asked Bill what he thought about Bush having Saddam's handgun on display in the Oval Office

"When Bush said he'd disarm Saddam, we thought it would be something more substantial."

"Bush is big on symbolism. Not good at policy, but big on symbols"

35. Bill did say we should invade other countries and torture people
http://www.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0406/02/lkl.00.html

Yes, the world is a better place without Saddam Hussein. We could say that about a thousand other places around the world where we could intervene. And by the way, if he's so interested in making the world a better place and if torture and atrocities are so intolerable, why doesn't he go into the Sudan right now? It's going on right now, Mr. Speaker. The same with North Korea and a bunch of other places around the world.

And...

In Afghanistan, those terrorists that we captured, they were terrorists, I wouldn't mind torturing a guy like Khalid Sheikh Mohammed or someone who really was a terrorist,

19. He is waaayyyy anti-Bush..
He respect's Colin Powell for NOT quitting and is actually thankful for him staying on as SoS due to Powell being the only sane person in the administration so if he left, the loonies would be all alone to run the country into the ground.

He said the war in Iraq was a mistake. He calls the soldiers over in Iraq - brave - for putting their lives on the line for a policy that could very well become a failure, if it isn't already.

When asked about Chalabi, Maher answered the question with another question - who do you believe? The liars who used him to invade Iraq, or the liar Chalabi?

25. Sounds like a headline for Newsmax
That's a good plan...Make the repubs disoriented and confused.
Kinda like a "Shock and Awe" campaign. Next we can send the ACLU to Limbaugh's defence.

27. This was a great Larry King show !
I mean it was one full hour of anti-Bush, pro-liberal stuff! If the conservatives say that it leaned to the left, they would be right! :) It was great! If we could get about 500 hrs more of that type of programming, I think it woud help our country...

all our friends or potential friends because they said something stupid 2 or 3 years ago? That makes a lot of sense.

33. you're right, of course
but believe me, i've seen an entire society go bad since THEY murdered JFK/RFK/MLK etc....and the nudge wink late night chuckle at all the murdering and theft done on our behalf.... always was beneath contempt. There's plenty of appreciation for Maher's defiance of the bushevik monster, but there's also people like me who wants them bastards, and those who sat by and allowed them to get away with it up til now, punished (and w/out any of that liberal generosity bushit the nazis always beg for when they get caught)
solidarity yes, but forget/get over it? no way....

32. Bill Maher was really excellent tonight! I don't have HBO and
never liked his show on ABC all that much....he's been on with King before....but tonight......he was really great, because his "joking" was full of facts and challenges to Bush et al that were right on the mark!
