Chalabi has the Junior Gmen over a barrel!
Edited on Wed Jun-02-04 09:37 PM by Must_B_Free
I always wondered why did they go in and ransack the place and break his pictures, yet leave him alone? Why did they leave him there?

Newsweek sheds a little light:

One Bush administration official said that in addition to harboring suspicions that Chalabi had been leaking sensitive U.S. information to Iran both before and after the U.S. invasion of Iraq, some U.S. officials also believe that Chalabi had collected and maintained files of potentially damaging information on U.S. officials with whom he had or was going to interact for the purpose of influencing them. Some officials said that when Iraqi authorities raided Chalabi’s offices, one of the things American officials hoped they would look for was Chalabi’s cache of information he had gathered on Americans.

So Chalabi had insurance... No wonder they didn't pay him back right there.

How embarassing of our top G-Men to get chumped by a sweet talker... Bush and Cheney are obviously not the type to trust with state secrets. It seems they may have been compromised and are open targets for blackmail. They need to resign immediately for the good of the nation.

1. They actually believed that
Chalabi would keep the incriminating stuff with him?? It's probably stashed in Iran for release in case he ends up in jail.
