Another strange message to add to the paranoid mix
My son just forwarded this to me, with the comment, "freaky enough for you?" It was posted anonymously, at a (non-political) message board where he hangs out, by someone who took a government job about a month ago:

I want to title this what it very well could be, but I want to tell you what happened today and let you be the judge.

First, we got a discussion from a "higher up" about how the Paterland Shield "condition monitor" affects us. (Replace the appropriate words with their actual names to understand ;) )

Second, we were told how we would need to begin implementing a procedure where each of us would be working X number of days a week (on a rotating schedule) from off-site locations and "if things get worse, be prepared for additional time in the rotation."

Third, leaving work today, all the local parking garages were being searched by city police with dogs.

I'm not assigning cause and effect. I'm merely telling you what I've experienced. Interpret at your leisure--but be careful. :(

2. Here are a couple of anecdotes I've picked up the last day or two.
Anonymous board postings, so make of them what you will:

Don´t know if this is at all related, but it seems strange to me, and considering the timing I figure it´s worth posting...

Not sure about other states, but I can tell you that in CT alot of firehouses are being told to give up one truck if possible. The trucks are aparently being driven and moved to a location unknown. I can´t provide any tangible proof or an article, but my friend is a veteran firefighter and he was put in charge of overseeing the movement of 10 trucks to an "airfield" where they are being taken from there.

The odd revelation that really sticks out in my mind is, true story, my co-worker told me her father spooked her when he said he was getting nervous about the ramp up in missile production last year (he builds them) and heard "something big" was going to happen in the summer which is why they needed them. We´re talking about nuclear ICBMs.

3. OK, that sh*t is scary. I hope it's just urband legend crap
Unfortunately, I can see something really bad happening toward the end of the year, due to all the shit raining down on this administration. They are not going to go gently into that good night. I really freak sometimes about what might happen in the next 5 months.

4. Yeah, I know. I hesitated posting because they are, after all,
anonymous and unsubstantiated, and I don't want to do Bush's job by cranking up the fear dial to 11. But given there are a number of other indicators that something is brewing (for instance, http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=104&topic_id=1701699), I think it's worthwhile to compile these things, so we won't be blindsided by the bastards.

7. thanks for the link . . . I somehow missed that thread, but just read it
and it just reinforces my increasingly persistent feeling that something big is indeed in the works . . . I don't think anyone knows for sure just what it is, but all of the hints point to something that will make 9/11 seem mild in comparison . . . I've been saying for months that I honestly don't believe that BushCo will ALLOW Kerry to win, and they'll do whatever is necessary to that end . . . loss of life means nothing to them and their crusade for a "higher cause" . . . do NOT underestimate what these people are capable of . . .

and the part of this that REALLY scares me is my belief that BushCO, acting through their puppet in the White House, would very much like to use nuclear weapons somewhere, on someone . . . that's how crazy I believe these people to be . . . I hope to God I'm wrong, but I fear that I'm not . . .

6. Paterland Shield "condition monitor" means
Homeland Security terror alert?
Or something else?
