When I came to DU, I'd already decided to vote for Kerry |
|
but I wasn't feeling very positive about it.
I do now, and I want to thank everyone who had the patience to point out Kerry's strong points without bashing Nader.
John Kerry has the right idea. He avoids going negative because it just turns people off.
I believe our system needs strong reforms but it will take a major party candidate to do it. I don't know if Kerry will, but I know that he can, and that he understands the problem. This is a man who has always been willing to fight for what he believes in. Maybe we'll never again be the land of the free, but when Kerry wins in November we'll once more be the home of the brave. I haven't seen hope in this country since the last JFK was shot. I don't think there are going to be any drunk Secret Service agents on this JFK's watch.
Thanks, DU!

And I agree with you about the counterproductiveness of bashing Nader. I believe Nader WANTS Kerry to be President and will help to make that happen. I think they both know they are playing important roles at this time. Heck, since Kerry has such a lengthy liberal record, Nader staying in pointing to Kerry's moderate positions is a great appeal for the centrist voters.
