This should be good! Company to publish U.S. election video game

The typical video game calls for shooting aliens, racing cars and beating enemies into submission, but publisher Ubi Soft Entertainment has decided gamers may also enjoy stumping for votes at a nursing home somewhere in Ohio.


The company said on Wednesday it has signed a deal to publish "The Political Machine," a new game for PCs that puts players in control of the 2004 presidential campaigns of either incumbent President Bush (news - web sites) or Democratic challenger, Sen. John Kerry (news - web sites).


Players will also have the option of creating their own Republican or Democratic candidate or managing the campaign of a historical figure like Ronald Reagan (news - web sites) or Franklin Roosevelt.


The game will allow players to raise funds, barnstorm for votes and join candidate debates.

2. I downloaded ELection 2000 video game in 2000

It was a pinball-type game, was a lot of fun from Bitmagic. I also loaded another election game from Bitmagic in 2000 where you chose your candidate

3. I Hope this is Good.

I've never heard of a game quite like this. I've always wanted someone to make a game like this. Ubi- soft has been on a roll recently with Far Cry, Prince of Persia 2, Beyond Good and Evil, and Splinter Cell. Here's hoping this game will be good also. It would be hillarious if "O'malley" cut my character's mic off after he gets out-debated.

This fucking game is awesome if you are a political junkie. I've had it for a few months now and I love it. Check out the Demo. If anyone wants it, I can send the full version over mIRC, AIM, FTP or to an ISP email that can accept large files. You can create your own candidates and win the Presidency as yourself or whoever your fantasy politicians are. Create attack ads, plant spies, influence lobbyists, spin the news and more.

I've won the Presidency as an Independent and a Democrat but I can't win as a Libertarian even if I give myself a billion dollars to campaign with. I've beaten Reagan with Carter which is really hard to do if you play fair. How different the country would be if that had happened. There are 4 different scenarios right now, they are working on updates for others as well. Check this out.

5. I've become addicted to this

game and am trying to beat chimp as myself. I can't seem to be able to get the update to patch into the game though. I really am not a complete computer idiot, what am I doing wrong?
