C-Span 7:08a.m. question: Does Iraq war resemble WWII?
A caller said "Yes, but we are playing the part of the Nazis, we use the same terminology ("Shock and Awe" is like Blitzkrieg) and attacked a country that had not attacked us and did not represent an immediate threat to us.
That was a nice twist.

1. A RW caller ("Bush is a great president" comment) was saying that
the cadets were yawning during Bush*'s speech? He was very upset about this.

2. Those who think that Iraq and WWII bear a resemblance
are the same people who think that their asses look exactly like their elbows, and who shine their shoes with shit.

(You know, Bush supporters.)

4. what an absolutely outrageous question
it is ridiculous!

and pathetic!

It shows how desperate the Bushies are getting.

If this truly were like WWII, then you'd have a draft, you'd have increased taxes on the wealthy to fund the war effort, etc.

But of course it is not. Iraq was a war of choice, a war of convenience for the Bushies, and a war they are bungling through shear incompetence and blindness.

Unfortunately, the caller comparing it to Hitler is correct. Maybe not with gas chambers, but in so many other respects this gang in the white house bear a striking resemblance to the right wing extremists who dragged Germany down the drain...
