Gas prices: get some political mileage
A STICKER CAMPAIGN

Get a package of Avery 5663 address labels (width: 4.25" Height: 2.0").
I'm running Windows XP and Microsoft® Works Word Processor.
In Works-Word, click on tools, click on labels.
My pop-up menu shows "Avery" in the top window and the selection of their labels below. Scroll down to "5663" and click on it.
When the template comes up, paste the above graphic into each block.
I think you can do it by just right clicking on the graphic and left clicking on "copy".
If not, the original website is below.
Print as many sheets of labels as you need.

I'm not sure what the laws are on "defacing private property", so I wouldn't run out and put a sticker on every pump in every filling station in your area.
I would carry a couple of sheets in the car and every time you fill up just kinda sneak one on the pump.

4. Correction:
It's Avery Ink Jet label 8163 or (I guess) any 4"X2" label.
The 5663 is for clear/transparent labels.
Just printed my first sheet and it's perfect.
