Pigs sully South Carolina's conservative agenda
A feud between the Republican governor and the Republican-dominated Legislature has escalated into insults, stalling and potentially killing many items on Gov. Mark Sanford's conservative agenda as the session comes to an end.

Indeed, lawmakers called it public ridicule when Sanford brought pigs to the statehouse last week to represent pork barrel spending, and senior policy staff said the pigs may have cost the governor his agenda.

"Nothing's going to move," said one senior staffer.

With the final day of the legislative session Thursday, Sanford's priorities, dubbed his "Checklist for Change," look unlikely to pass, lawmakers and staff said.

3. Sanford is the pig
Mr. I live in a mansion and the kiddies go to a private school. I want to defund public education (even the republicans in SC said no to this) by allowing home school (here it normally means fundie) parents to take a tax cut. However he wants it more for the rich and uses the home school families as the photo op. Sanford , Mr I join the Reserves but I don't have to serve in Iraq, but I did take away I didn't serve my country question. Sanford is just a rich asshole who only gives a damn about other rich assholes and republicans vote for him here but they think republican here means God Fearing and all that other "good stuff"
