Anyone having connectivity problems to the internet....
I have been having a terrible time with my cable connection. I thought it might be the modem and bought a new one. Still problems (the technician will be here this evening).

Oddly enough, I keep a back up dial-up account. I am having problems with it, too. Different companies, different everything.

I just talked to someone I work with and they have had two outages with their broadband ISP. Plus, another vendor of theirs reported a similar problem in a different region.

Is there some big virus hitting? This has been going on all week. Anyone else seeing an unprecedented amount of down time?

2. Odd question....
Do you use ZoneAlarm? We started having connectivity problems as soon as the most recent update came through for ZoneAlarm.

I have all but one PCs powered down. I can't keep my network up and running with my connection all hosed. It is frustrating. Thanks for the info on zone alarm...I was planning on doing the upgrade when I could..I might hold off now.

7. This a.m., once I got on, and tried to get into my homepage
(to access my e-mail), twice I got a message from my ISP saying that my browser needed adjusting, I needed to change my password, some other crap. But on the third try, everything was normal.

8. I'm on Comcast at home and it's been fairly slow the last couple of days..
...by broadband standards, at least. Definitely NOT 3mb/s at the moment.
