2. Amazing how fast all this is coming out
Edited on Thu Jun-03-04 01:43 PM by Quahog
It's been what, less than twelve hours since Tenet's announcement? It seems like in this very short time period just about everyone has either taken credit or assigned blame or washed their hands or spoken their piece. I have to agree with you, Loonman, this is going to get WAY more interesting before it's over.

FWIW, I do NOT think this is part of the BFEE master plan, I think they were taken by surprise. And I think they are scared.

3. They're scared, alright
But desperate people do desperate things.

That's what I'm worried about.

4. What a goddamn phoney hypocrite!
I especially loved this gem:

Speaking to reporters, Chalabi lashed out at Tenet, saying the effects of his policies toward Iraq over the past years "have been not helpful to say the least."

"He continued attempting to make a coup d'etat against Saddam in the face of all possible evidence that this would be unsuccessful," Chalabi said. "His policies caused the death of hundreds of Iraqis in this futile efforts."

Chalabi also accused Tenet of providing "erroneous information about weapons of mass destruction to President Bush, which caused the government much embarrassment at the United Nations (news - web sites) and his own country."

Hey pot, this is kettle. Guess what? You're still black!

6. welcome to bizarro world
Let's see - we have the repukes falling all over themselves to heap shit upon Tenet as a Clinton appointee and hope he can catch all of the blame for every-fucking-thing. But now, Chalabi, the accused Iranian-double-agent, is joining the blanket party. But Chalabi is persona non grata and * is trying to lie his way out of even knowing Chalabi. I don't imagine the pukes want anything to do with Chalabi right now, even tangentially.

7. Bwahahahaha...Chalabi is the most repulsive comedian I have seen
in a long time... that face will sink 1000 ships. But, from your article:

He continued attempting to make a coup d'etat against Saddam in the face of all possible evidence that this would be unsuccessful," Chalabi said. "His policies caused the death of hundreds of Iraqis in this futile efforts."

Chalabi also accused Tenet of providing "erroneous information about weapons of mass destruction to President Bush, which caused the government much embarrassment at the United Nations (news - web sites) and his own country."

U.S. officials have said much of the information about Saddam's banned weapons programs came from Chalabi's Iraqi National Congress. No major banned weapons stockpiles have been found.

HE HAS THE GALL, HE HAS THE BRAINS, HE HAS THE INFO ON HIS PALS AT THE AMERICAN ADMINISTRATION.... HE HAS IT ALL.

8. He was using Tenet's name two weeks ago on all the talk shows...
Tenet's resignation just gives him more ammo.
