The Kerry people MUST
be absolutely brilliant when he starts running ads against *. Please give me encouragement that Kerry has exceptional people working for him. (I'm paranoid because I saw how Art Torres and the California Democratic party totally blew it regarding Grey Davis' recall).

1. The Cal Dem party should be running ads using the Enron tapes.
Those tapes should be played in EVERY county in California until EVERY person in California has heard it at least twenty times.

3. Yes, but not now.
Let the media run the Enron tapes for now. (even if it is only CBS) It's early June, and those tapes will be long forgotten before the election. This is the type of thing that needs to be in the October ads

2. Kerry has good people,
but probably not enough staffers in key states like ohio. I think Kerry's lower level people are great (I met two of them in Iowa in the months before the caucuses). He has a lot of young, dedicated people, but I worry about his campaign manager Mary Beth Cahill. I think that she's from MA and i'm not sure if she is effective. I think Donna Brazile (Gore's 2000 campaign manager) or James Carville are much better.

4. Right Lindsay, this is going to be key
We no longer can sit on the "watch Bush destroy himself" bandwagon. That dog won't hunt all the way to November. And one never knows how the people are going to perceive this Tenent thing---this could take a lot of pressure off of Bush. Good god they have been fooled by much less!!! So like it or not we have to REDEFINE Bush (for the queezy who don't like the word 'attack'). He defined Kerry and that is why with all the troubles, Kerry isn't soaring through the roof. So now Kerry has to tell them what George did to them, what he is doing now to them and what he will do to them in the future. Mainly, his staff has to realize that this isn't running for Senator in a predominently Dem state where everybody knows your name. This is a whole different ballgame and the Bush folks have been there and done that before.
