The failure of so many to even NOTICE that their renderings of the man's surname DO NOT MATCH the articles they post is indicative to me of a lack of attention to detail. This sloppiness reflects a much bigger problem. Can anyone relate to my petty annoyance or what I'm going on about here? :silly:

There is no "standard" in rendering Arabic spellings to Englisch. (That MAY be a small part of the problem, so all bets are off! :silly: )

me too. courtS-martial u.s.w... meistens solche sachen ärgern mich nicht. ABER AM MINDESTENS the correct spelling of someone's NAME is an indication of a mindset. Don't get me started on pronunciation! ;-)

30. Actually, the common grammatical manglings

misspellings and typos don't disturb me... errraaa... much. :P There are thoughtful and intelligent people whose posts are riddled with them. (Code_Name_D comes to mind). The content of their ideas and sincere desire to express them are more important to me.

Attention to spelling a NAME correctly enables others who read threads here to RECOGNIZE and follow-up on the players to whom we refer. It IS a critical detail in these times. Ya'know what I mean, Vern? ;-)
