...gun control issue I would be inclined to agree with you.

I'd say Florida, but Jeb will do whatever he can to steal it.

4. NH, NV, MO, OH, and possibly a few others
We may lose either WI, OR, or IA, but Electorally we'd be able to recoup that loss.

5. All BBV BS aside
I think that Kerry could have Missouri, Ohio, Viriginia, Arkansas, New Hampshire and others if he runs his campaign right. BBV voting aside, the Shrubbery gives another four years to remember and hope to forget.

6. Definitely New Hampshire
a huge percentage of NH'ers used to live in MA, so Kerry is something of a favorite son.

Probably Nevada, since La Vegas is still growing and outweighs the red parts of the state.

The big ones are OH and FL. All Kerry has to do is match Gore's performance in FL, and with the dissatisfaction over the Medicare bill and other issues for retired people, he has a good chance of doing it.

7. I sure hope he takes Ohio
A LOT of people who normally don't vote are going out and getting registered. Even folks that I know are conservative feel like they've been had by the whole WMD's - we MUST INVADE NOW! crap that created support for the war in the beginning.

9. I think it will be close
but he will take OH and NH (not so close)

I think he has an outside shot at picking up:

FL
MO
AR

I however fear he has an equal shot at losing:

IA
WA
PA

So right now, it's a toss up with I think a slight Kerry lean, but I think the EC map come November is likely to look much different one way or the other than it looks right now, too many things can and will happen between now and then.

I've yet to hear anyone say anything good about Shrub. No pro- Bush bumper stickers, and this is the most conservative part of the state!

21. Nevada - no sweat
Bush barely won in 2000, due to the promise/lie to keep nuke waste out of Nevada. People aren't happy about that.

Sen Reid is running for re-election - adds to organizing strength (unions, etc) to get Dems to the polls.
