Tenet, Rumsfeld & Rice need to go.
If people aren't convinced it's only because they haven't been paying attention. It wasn't just 9/11 that was a total intelligence failure, but also the actions that were taken after 9/11.

3. This Is Turning Into A Spectator Sport |

People are confused...in Freeperland, it's total freefall and the tinfoil hats (or Jon Stewart called them alluminum last night) are going overtime.
My quick take is pretty much along other lines here. Tenet is being set up as the "whipping boy" for both Iraq and 9/11. The news has been so bad for RoveCo. in the past couple weeks, they needed to throw someone to the wolves...and there was no way that was gonna be Rummy. I think Tennet's push was one of those card's in Karl's deck he only wanted to use when he needed to, and his polling is showing now is the time.
Or, more specifically, Tennet was to be used further down the road when the 9/11 report was coming out, but I think he jumped the shark...and caught Bunnypants and Rove completely blindsided. It's getting that there are so many fires going on the good ship RoveCo. that it is in total reactive mode now and is being dictated by events as opposed to dictating them.
That's where my spectating for the next several months begins. Sen. Kerry is doing the right thing to just sit back and let this regime dig the hole even deeper. No one is satisfied with any explanation. Bottom line: the regime looks inept again.

4. Regarding your comments about Kerry. |
|
Remember how the press was reporting that Kerry was making a big mistake by not countering Bush's attacks? I bet the press would have loved it if Kerry had done just that and gotten in the way of these big headlines.

Look at how the little bits Kerry has said that has been critical of this regime is blown out of proportion. It gauled me on Memorial Day that there was this impression that while Bunnypants was "honoring the military", Kerry was using his appearance as a "photo op". That pissed me no end.
The best assessment I've heard is that right now those who are starting to pay attention to the election are looking over Bushyboy...and asking if he's worth keeping around for another four years. Kerry's time to step up is still several months away.
I see so much impatience here...but this is a marathon, and we need to just keep pace right now and then give it one hell of a kick in September & October.
The good thing is the combination of Clinton's book, Moore's movie and the continuing Bunnypants scandals will present a real difference between the parties and expose the ongoing hypcrisies of this regime and its brain-dead hangers-on.
