Bush to link Iraq with the freeing of Europe at Normandy. |
|
Bush is like a child. He feels the need to force his way into history as a savior of the world. This is more than ego. It is pathological behavior. Normandy can stand on it's own just fine. There is no need to compare it to anything. Let the WW2 vets have their day without bringing up the unnecessary slaughter of thousands in Iraq.

He just can't stop offending people with his self-righteous crap. Isn't it enough to kill 800 plus Americans for a stupid, unjust, profiteering war? No, he has to go and spit on the graves of men who died fighting for democracy and freedom by making it a campaign speech.

This is an outrage--the man is delusional and insane. Indeed--his referencing to his war on a noun and his pre-emptive, ill advised slaughter in Iraq is without a single jot or tittle or even a hint of humility and he strives to steal the stage from the war heroes. He barges over everyone, ignores Chirac's request not to mention his slaughter and like a crazed, wild eyed dictator, declares his tragedy of a war(s) akin to the famous invasion of Normandy and tacitly that he is akin to Roosevelt or Churchill, or Eisenhower or any other leader he would like others to think are in the same catagory as himself, the AWOL Commander in Chief.
-a normal person would recognize the purpose of the ceremony which is to honor the dead there underneath all of those crosses-he is doing it for photo ops and PR purposes and using, once more, the dead, and the war dead to advance his own image of himself. I am acutely ashamed that this putrid prick and his tablecloth wrapped frump represent my country
There are ways to make guests who are there merely for appearance sake, feel uncomfortable. I would hope this goes on with a high priority. For instance--Jackie could speak French fluently so no problem socializing--while Laura and especially the Bush can barely speak English intelligently, so, those who would want to ignore them or get a message across, would be sure the conversation all around them proceeds in French.

5. I hope he experiences protests without "free speech zones" |

How dare he compare WWII to his Iraq war. I think he needs a mental evaluation.

6. What an asshole...he better not do this |

'cause it's a slap in the face of those veterans who actually died for something... My dad was in Normandy and he lived to tell about and there is NO comparison to Iraq, nor the leadership of Rooservelt and Bush.
What an arrogant, egotistical, insecure prick.
