Cheney appearing at Ryan fundraiser in Chicago today

Dick Cheney is appearing at a fundraiser for the R-IL senatorial candidate, Jack Ryan, in Chicago at 4:30 p.m. today. That vile, burning, sulferous smell permeating the city is attributable to him. The weather forecast is for rain, snow, hail, lightning, tsunamis, frogs, crickets, wild beasts and other expressions of God's displeasure.

I got an email from the Democratic Party inviting all and sundry to protest his war profiteering, er, Halliburton's no-bid contracts, outside the fundraiser at the Chicago Hilton, 720 S. Michigan, at 4:30.

I wonder if I saw his chopper? I saw outside the window of my workplace a lone red chopper travelling east, turning down the lakefront, and flying downtown. Anyone else spot it?

2. This is supposed to help Ryan in WHAT way?

Bwa-haaa! Ryan is a mess, his campaign is DOA, and he's already down by several percentage points in his race against Obama--who's an excellent campaigner (that is already showing poll numbers that 30 some percent of SELF ID'd conservatives plan to vote for him!)

So the GOP brings in Unca Dick--a guy who is already up to his eyebrows in scandals between Enron, Halliburton and the Plame leak--to "help" Ryan. You have GOT to love the GOP logic!

I don't think that Unca Dick is gonna save Ryan or any other GOP candidate right now. I doubt Unca Dick could save himself right now.
