Poll question: Will Bush pass stem cell research after Ronald Reagan dies?
(Especially if it's before the election?)

Here's the scenario. Ronald Reagan goes to that big actor's guild in the sky and at his eulogy, which will be more televised and watched than any of Bush's speeches, Bush anounces that he will pass stem cell research in Ronnie's name. What would this move do to his poll numbers?

1. stem cell
another thought-he will pass it because she is giving him a million for campaign if he names it the Ronnie research.

2. Reagan's Passing
Will help the Bush if it happens at the right time. Hopefully, not.
Repugs have lately been floating the idea of putting Reagan's portrait on the dime, replacing FDR. They will certainly try to do that when the inevitable occurs. That would be a double victory for old Repugs, who always hated the FDR dime.

3. Well, the news is getting more dire by the minute.
I don't think he has long to go. And I suspect that this will be too early in the election process to help Bush. If anything, Reagan fading into the sunset is timed with the fall of the Right. I suppose that's only poetic, considering that it was Reagan's Hollywood smoke and mirrors which gave the Republicans a feel-good, but false perception of elite power.

4. Isn't it funny
how suddenly, ray-gun, who has been quietly dying all this time, is suddenly DYING (in the spotlight) just as Kerry's campaign starts kicking up and *'s poll numbers are tanking.

Pardon, have to adjust my hat. Tin foil makes it so slippery.
