It sure was invigorating when our last President accepted his failures |
|
If in life you have no failures, then you have broke no new ground. The important part is to accept and learn from them.

I'm thinking the last one was Carter or Kennedy.
Sorry, I don't hear Clinton speaking out about his failures, all of which are the sort of thing the repukes wanted and loved (so much for bipartisanship, reminding us that we do not want centrists):
* 1996 telecom act * 1995 welfare 'reform' (did nothing for corporate welfare) * DOMA * NAFTA * DMCA * 1994 firing of Jocelyn Elders, fearing Dems would lose big just because she had the guts to openly talk about a subject that STILL needs to be talked about! * Monica, and not only was he silent on this, he was quite less than truthful. "I did not have sex with that woman". Uh-huh. That means I've never had sex with any men too.
Maybe I've been out of the loop, but I haven't heard him, while as President (or post-president), accept any of those decisions as being failures. And it doesn't count if he started apologizing afterwards. Not until the next Dem undoes what he implemented.

I'm going to get myself a cup of coffee and I'll not have to open the door. I'll walk tall and under, And guess what It won't be the first or last.

Your man Dumpy will never be president. However you could be right,GHWBUSH would have been a better choice in 1992. we could have had all this much sooner. Twinkles only smiled.

3. My favorite quote in the whole world is from Winston Churchill |
|
"Success is going from one failure to another without loss of enthusiasm."
Another quote I like is from Amelia Earhart:
"Courage is the price we pay for peace of mind."
Bush, on the other hand, tells people he must never be questioned and everybody must always be afraid. He is the opposite of an inspiring leader.

5. He's inspiring all right |

he's inspired me to get off my ass and try to do something even if it is wrong. This past week I attached my first two bumper stickers, one for a local election (house district #2 in Oklahoma) the other John Kerry
