Neil Boortz spat with Franken?
I'm listening to the rerun of the O'Franken factor and only caught the tail end of some arguement between the two. Boortz (I assume, becasue he called him Neil) said he was tired of playing "Preschool Gotcha! games with Al."

What was this all about?

1. Boortz caught in a lie, and then lying about the lie. Did not like it,
no sireee... no,no,no. No fair. I think that the RW are so used to liberals "playing nice" and rolling over that they go absolutely ballistic when faced with their own lies in writing and recorded. It was funny.

2. Boortz lied about Franken in a TV interview
Edited on Sat Jun-05-04 10:36 AM by nuxvomica
Boortz said that Franken had wanted to guest host his show but backed out because he wouldn't be in control of the phones. This was apparently an entire fabrication and when Franken called him on it, Boortz accused him of playing "word games." I think the clip is available at the O'Franken Factor website.

edit:
for the clip, go to http://www.ofrankenfactor.com/ and scroll down to "FRANKEN V. BOORTZ: LISTEN TO THE SEGMENT"

3. Boortz Said It Was A Transcript Error And Then Franken Played The Audio..
It incensed him to have his sorry, lying ass caught red handed...

He then proceeded to be outraged with Franken...How typical...

4. Boortz is a cowardly POS
When he can't stand the heat, he storms off.

He did the same when he appeared on Donohue.

5. It was priceless!

Boortz did not like being caught in a lie, and hung up whining like a little brat.

BTW, I saw the piece Boortz did on CNN , which was the first lie - saying he had asked Franken to host his show, and Boortz kept insisting the transcript was wrong. It wasn't a damned transcript, it was a tape of what actually aired on CNN. LOL I forget what the second lie was.

6. It was great
Franken had gotten caught a little flat footed the first time he had Boortz on. That time Franken only had a transcript of the interview on CNN and not the tape. So Boortz sort of got away with claiming the transcript was in error. This time, Franken had both the CNN interview with the original lie, and the cover up lie from his own show. Boortz knew what was up since he tried to play the copywrite card on the CNN interview. Boortz blew up and spouted crap. It was priceless.

7. Franken spanks another!
I love it! That takedown was just too easy. Made even sweeter by the fact that Boortz is such an asshole.

9. It has become a trend with Boortz.
He's much like O'Reilly...a right-winger who has the blanket of being "independent" to hide under. I've noticed on his radio show that when he gets backed into a corner by a caller, he starts talking loudly over the caller in an attempt to drown them out.

Pretty amateur stuff.

11. "playing gotcha"
Neil was beside himself with anger because his punk ass got called on a lie. Al Franken did what ANY respectful Democrat should do...he confronted the liar with evidence. And Neil did what every other slimy conservative hack does...lied about it even in the face of the truth.
