1. Yes, and they're playing the feed of the guy who talks into Bush's ear!!
Edited on Sat Jun-05-04 12:55 PM by VolcanoJen
You can hear a man feeding him his lines through an earpiece clearly, about a sentence ahead of Bush! It's unbelievable... Bush is looking at his paper on the podium, as if he were reading his speech, but it's being fed to him through an earpiece! The guy in the earpiece even adds emphasis to certain words, and Bush repeats it, just like a good chimp would.

Check it out for yourselves... it's somethin' else!

15. On second viewing, it seems like a technical glitch.

I just watched the whole thing again, and it was just some kind of weird feedback. As fun as it was to believe Earpiece-Chimpy was feeding Podium-Chimpy his lines, it just didn't really happen that way.

:-)

5. I think maybe that's the delay in feed?
 The delay from the satellite feed?

8. OMG!!

You know what it was?

It was probably a tape recording of Bush speaking the lines beforehand--they probably coached him exactly on how to speak his lines--every minute detail, and when he laid it down right in his practise sessions, they used that tape and played it back to him during the speech so he'd just repeat how he did it when he did it "correctly".

I just saw him take his earpiece out, too. It must've been in wrong, and it somehow was heard in his microphone or something..

This is unbelievable!

So now we know a bit more about exactly how Bush works..

9. I don't think so

That's Bush's own voice, identical to what he is saying, just played a few seconds earlier. The audio and video are delayed, I guess, and that is an identical audio feed that is out of synch, meaning not delayed as much. I don't know anything about audio or video, but it's definitely Bush's own voice.

ON EDIT:
Actually, I don't know now. SeveneightyWho's hypothesis was interesting. I guess it could have been Bush's own earlier-recorded voice. For the few seconds I heard, I was sure the audio was identical, but I guess the other explanation is just as possible. I'll let the people who know more about audio and video figure it out. Shouldn't be too hard to synch up the two voices and see if they are identical matches or not. Is this even a speech or is he answering questions? Of course, answers could also be pre-recorded, I guess.

12. It's not a prompter feeding him in his earpiece...
...it's due to the delay in the transmission of the audio.

That's why both audio feeds are EXACT echoes of each other.

Shrub is an embarrassment, but these claims about him being fed the speech are not true.

13. HUH? We only get Canadian content in the East
Programs called AGENDA, and MEDICAL INTELLIGENCE and others are the only thing broadcast on weekends. The schedule repeats every 6 hours, I think.

I've written to MSNBC Canada and they emailed back saying they are trying to re-negotiate a contract for MSNBC weekends. Are you in Canada and if so, why do we have different programming, I wonder.....

16. Ohh..
I didn't realize you were specifically talking about MSNBC, sorry.

Yeah, Canada's like that. I think MSNBC is forced by LAW to show a certain amount of Canadian content. Apparently they take most of the crap they show straight from CPAC (Canada's version of C-Span). I have no idea why though.

I only get MSNBC on satellite at our cabin, and it really does suck (except Olbermann!).

14. A French journalist asked him about President Kennedy's
comment that everyone has two countries - their own and France. And that blithering idiot chimpy said 'to paraphrase Mr. Kennedy, there's the United States and then there's Texas.'

What?

This guy is the worst president* ever. He is a total idiot. He can't answer questions, can't form a complete sentence, can't grasp the concept of rational thought. November can't get here soon enough.
