Edited on Sat Jun-05-04 05:06 PM by Bombtrack
I'm eager to hear the reaction speeches/statements to this moment in history from the major players who one would expect to respond. The Reagan family, Bush, Kerry, Clinton, ... Shwarzeneggar?

Anyway he's been the only one flipping through the channels that I've really been struck with as commenting with the right importance and fairness and weight. He didn't kiss Reagan's ass. He didn't spin anything in any partisan light. And unlike almost everyone else commenting he had ORIGINAL things to say.

I see alot of venom thrown at Brokaw here and that's okay if you believe that. But I just don't think there are too many real journalists left like Brokaw.

1. He IS decent, especially compared to the Freak Show on Faux....
and the callers on C-Span ranting about how Ronnie "saved" America.

:wtf:

7. yep, and didn't his assistant and/or her child get sick as a result?
trying to remember. Do recall reading that he used to kick up a bit in network meetings about addressing the part of the nation between NYC and LA.

Don't know about now, it's been a few years, but he looked fine from behind in jeans and old chambray last time I saw him in front of the Sweet Grass Bakery on Last Chance Gulch in Helena, MT. MMMMMMM, more than the pasteries!

9. No. It was Dan Rather and his assistant...
that received anthrax in the mail.

5. Kucinich likes Brokaw
after one of the debates, in which I didn't think Brokaw was especially distinguished, Dennis said it was an excellent debate, "that's why Tom Brokaw is the best."
