Maybe Nancy will opt for a "private" funeral so as not to help Bush out |
|

This man served our country for eight long years in the waning years of his life. I believe Nancy will endeavor to give him everything due to a popular, beloved by many, President.
Please think of how we would feel if this was President Carter or Clinton.

She's has really rallied in the last few times I've seen her on TV. Poor lady, she's been through a lot. But she's a tough ol' dame (as she might call herself) and she loved her husband so much. They really were a picture of devotion and love.

Ronnie's likeness on a coin, tell Bush to allow stem-cell research? Give her credit, she won't allow her husband to be "used".

|
funeral in National Cathedral followed by his being schlepped back to California for a more private final funeral with friends/ family. Plans have been in the works for some time now. (Barbara Waa Waa confirmed on ABC).
So, a full week of hand-wringing and memorials infinitum...

6. Can she not choose the manner in which she would like to |
|
bury her husband? Does she HAVE to go along with a state funeral if she did not want to? I'm not saying she wouldn't want it but does she have no choice?

But don't be surprised if she becomes a problem for *. She knows what the Bush's are.
Those kids didn't get their ideas from thin air, she must have allowed some free thought.

16. Details per my local paper (he's to be buried here) |
|
"Reagan's body was expected to be taken to his presidential library and museum in Simi Valley, Calif., and then flown to Washington to lie in state in the Capitol Rotunda. His funeral was expected to be at the National Cathedral, an event likely to draw world leaders. The body was to be returned to California for a sunset burial at his library."

Her children know what is really happening in this country, they may influence her.
They also have that ball and chain from an earlier marriage who will want to exploit this for all it's worth, it could be they are sick of his cashing in on the family name in such a vulgar way.

that GHWBush's best friend in the Texas oil business was the father of J Hinkley who shot Reagan. In fact a dinner with Neil Bush and the older Hinkley boy was scheduled the same day as the shooting.
Small world isn't it?
The CIA would't really try to murder a president to get one of their own CIA good ol boys in office...would they?

21. You're talking about MICHAEL REAGAN, are you not? |
|
Edited on Sat Jun-05-04 07:30 PM by playahata1
I guessed right.
I'd also read on another thread that only Junior and Patti were present at their father's deathbed. Also, Michael -- who was ADOPTED, for those who don't know -- has had his problems within and outside the family realm.

18. Or in a different view |
|
let folks keep memorializing him... to keep the mental comparison fresh between RR and Bushjr. To those of us who respect neither - this has no effect. But to middle of the roaders who were persuaded by RR... the ongoing mental comparison between the mythic image of Reagan... and the bumbling, inarticulate reality of Bushjr... does junior no favors.

Love him or hate him, Ronnie could deliver a speech. Fast forward to today where chimpy struggles to put complete sentences together. It's painful to even listen to him on the radio. The repug version of camelot is no more.
