Only ONE thing matters about RR's death |
|
Edited on Sat Jun-05-04 09:44 PM by buycitgo
that, of course, is whether the fascist party will be able to ride the egregiously saccharine flow of Reagan tribute to the polls in November
I don't think so, given what's about to erupt in Iraq, but never underestimate the power of PR, and what our nauseatingly complicit media is capable of

just wait til July first; they're just getting warmed up now.
there are dozens of attacks EVERY day, and we only hear about the ones that bring casualties
this has been going on for weeks, and our US media don't even bring it up

4. sorry, stupid question |

I thought you meant right away, like this week. And I'm paying more attention to the Flames/Lightning game than to what I'm writing...

7. quite all right.......I'm trying to stay away from those threads |
|
my dad died from Alzheimer complications, so I empathize w/family, but that's as far as it goes
the years from now, his true legacy will be apparent
the nastiness occuring here is countereffective to Kerry's campaign, will only add to their "hate Bush" BS rhetoric
concentrating on both these horrid president's RECORDS is, of course, fair game, and should remain there
staying away from those threads, except the one I started that said he should be re-incarnated as a candiru.
had to get it out of system.....feel much better

3. Correct, the media sucks big time in this as usual, so the |
|
the teflon prez is getting PR, remember when Raygun used to give "speeches" and wander off into never-never land and some fascist prick would run out to the podium to tell us that, "the president mispoke, he meant to say..." And the doltish media would ignore it? Much like they do for today's numbskull.

6. Tribute won't last long |

News cycles are too fast nowadays and lots of other things are happening that will crave viewers' attention before the election.
Comparisons of Bush* to the Great Communicator will cause millions and millions of conservatives to despair.

8. Next week it will be; Reagan who? |
|
Maybe bush, for political reasons, will hang on to Reagan's death, the way he does 911. But, Reagan has been in the dark for over ten years. Kids of today don't even know his name. He died an old man of 93, lived a full life. It was not a tragic death like JFKennedy. Kids of today know about JFK's death.
It is up to us to keep the dialog of the 2004 campaign up front, and keep the neocons of taking Reagan's death to cover up all their crimes. Ron Jr hates bush and Nancy has come out against bush's policies. They will not allow bush to use Reagan's memory to be disgraced and used as bush's political football.

10. Nancy will clam up about policies now, if she knows what's good for her |
|
Ronnie doesn't hate his dad.......I've heard him speak well of him as a person lately, and he's not going to diss him during the campaign, I'll bet
you're correct on your other points, though
only problem is how the media will handle things; how far they'll carry Bushwater
look what they did in 2000
bad as I thought they were during WJC, I couldn't believe how far they went to 'elect' that imbecile. that's by far the MAIN reason he got close enough to steal it
who says it won't happen again?
will the herd instinct take over (report how bad things remain/will get in Iraq), or will the CW reporting posse bend to their bosses' wills, in order to save their cushy jobs?
remember.....reporters-->liberal; editors/publishers/owners-->fascist

12. you're right about that......good point |
|
he's on MSNBC, and has dissed the monkey several times
it'll be interesting to see if he keeps that job, cause it looked to me like does have it in for the dauphin
wonder if it'll be too unseemly to have MSGOP keeping him on
will they do to him what they did to Donohue during the war runup?
wouldn't surprise me at all if they take him off their payroll
