Think Nancy Reagan would ever support Kerry? |
|
I posted this question in another thread, and really got to wondering.
Of course, it likely would never happen. Nancy seems pretty private. But what if Kerry got her attention on an issue such as stem cell research, or if Nancy's dislike of the Bushes really pushed her over?
Remember when Reagan's former press secretary, Jim Brady, came out in support of Clinton because of his support of the Brady Bill?
One could wonder, I guess.
What do you all think?

2. She supports stem cell research and seems at odds with the fundies |
|
and she never thought much of the Bushes, but supporting Kerry would be a stretch.

"bad blood" between the two families ... Nancy could not stomach the Bush Krime Family ... maybe has something to do with the fact that Neil and Jeb Bush had dinner with Hinckley family 2 weeks before John Hinckley shot the Gipper.

4. Yes... I think she will be too grief-stricken (unless of course, the Bush* |
|
bots overplay their hand and try to exploit Reagan in a way she feels inappropriate. With Ron Reagan JR feeling the way he does, her antagonism by Bush's* opportunistic attitude towards stem cell research, and the freedom to advance her own opinions now that Ronnie is gone, one never knows....

6. I don't think she's outrageously grief-stricken |
|
She is, but more than anything, I'm sure she feels a sense of relief that his pain is now over with.

8. Yes, as I would... but there is a tremendous void and will only be |
|
more pronounced with the health care staff leaving and an undoubted decrease in SS staff. She'll feel pretty alone, I'm sure. I also hope she will feel liberated.

She was horrified to witness this little creep get installed into the presidency -- all the worse because he was put there by the very same people who were running the black ops out of the Reagan WH, trying to hijack his presidency, taking advantage of his illness. She never spoke publically against George W, but she did speak rather openly
The Bushistas were ROTTEN to the Reagans, and were most hurtful to Nancy, who "got in the way" a lot. She certainly was villified over being a "bitch"--a whispering campaign promoted by Barbara and later the other Bushistas-- but when it comes out, as it will in time, what she was "bitching" about, people are going to feel very different about her. She was on to these guys a long time ago....She comes out of this looking better than most.
Mrs Reagan feels she is being loyal to her Party by opposing Bush. She will never support the Bushistas. Her friends and supporters will be quietly voting for Kerry....
