Does the DNC give aid to all Democratic candidates or just
the ones they deem competitive? I mean how are we to get Democrats to even enter any races if they get no National support just because they enter a supposedly "Safe" contest. I know money is tight but I think it is an absolute crime to let Republicans run unopposed just because someone feels they have a "safe" seat. I don't think any seats are "safe" if the right person enters the race. Some people are very persuasive and just need an opportunity to be heard. I want every single Republican Congressman to face a Democrat this year. How can we help make that happen?

1. They won't finance a losing campaign. Neither will the RNC. nt

2. I got a call from them the other day....
The guy was all smarmy, trying to wheadle money from me. I told him I contribute to individual candidates that I believe in, not the DNC. And that they would never see a dime from me unless Howard Dean became their chairman.

A startled "oh!" was all he could utter.

He he.

3. That is what Howard Dean's new group is all about.
Go there and take a look at the Dean Dozens. They do not just support those who might win, that is not the philosophy. The goal is to have no GOP candidate unopposed.

5. Some races have become competitive when they get attention.
This is true. Local candidates chosen as Dean Dozen often get written up more locally, they get more attention, they get money in small amounts from all over, and the races have become competitive.

It is how you make yourself heard....even if you lose.
